Update 11/16: I was able to sit down with Zach the head of the billing department. He was very nice, listened to my experience, took care of the mistake, and apologized for the inconvenience. I was so glad to proven wrong about this hospital after having loved my care so much. After talking to Zach we would return to Lakeview knowing we would have him there as a resource if mistakes were made again. ---------- This is a tough review to write, because in terms of maternity care I would give them 10 stars. However the billing department has just made so many errors, its not worth it for us to ever use them again. Which is unfortunate because we are close and loved the caregivers. We had so many mistakes made with our bill following my sons delivery we had to return numerous times and speak with them, and correct the mistakes. We were told we were paid in full and done. But months later random bills kept coming that we have had to go back and forth with a million times with them and our insurance companies. I returned shortly after the baby for a gallbladder removal and we had the same issues all over again. Its now a year later and we just received another new charge from them, after calling my insurance company the representative said they received over a dozen bills from lakeview from my delivery alone (many of which were denied as duplicate charges). Its sounds like they just try to take advantage, and hope you are too lazy, scared, or confused to look into it. The woman that ran the billing department once told us "she's just not great with numbers" after we pointed out a large math error on our bill which may by the root of their problems? I wish the billing could be more clear and honest because I LOVED THE NURSES there and would love to have all my deliveries there in the future, but I'll travel to go somewhere with more straightforward and honest billing practices.

Today I had a surgery with Dr. Todd, great doctor and also the hospital organization was fantastic. The nurses were very nice, very professional. I really appreciated the hospitality.

5 stars for the billing department. It's rare to have a good experience with a billing department, that's why I felt I needed to write this review. We worked with one of their financial advisers Brandon and he was fantastic - helpful, informative, quick to respond, very helpful when it came to how to afford the visit; all the things you never seem to get when it comes to bills so I was more than pleasantly surprised. 5 stars for the ER receptionists. They were friendly, helpful, and informative. 3.5 stars for the ER staff. Took my husband in for a foot injury due to a water skiing accident and while the nurses and doctors were friendly, they didn't ever clean up or wrap his foot, which was still pretty bloody from the accident. So we left with his foot still dripping and had to run to the store to buy gauze and alcohol wipes - seemed odd that they didn't do that in the hospital. And while the nurses were friendly and cordial, they were constantly staring at, and typing on, their computers while talking to us. I get it, they have to document everything in a hospital, but a more patient focused facility might actually talk to the patient, not at the computer. Just food for thought.

My sister gave birth to my sweet niece here. The nurses and doctors were amazing- they kept my sister informed and comfortable. My niece was in the NICU for a week and received excellent care. Huge shoutouts to the nursing staff for all of their help and kindness

It saddens me to see the low scores for this wonderful hospital. I've been to this hospital for my daughter, myself, my father, my mother, and every experience has been wonderful. I recently had a loved one in another hospital oh my gosh, ridiculous! Most of the nurses were rude, I didn't EVER see a physician, so the only way to find out about the care plan was to call in during the physicians "rounding time". Patients and visitors were treated as numbers because the place was huge. Give me my caring, community, hospital any day!

I just spent time in the Lakeview Orthopedic Unit on the 4th floor. Jeff Sales was my RN and Tiffany Nye was his assistant on the graveyard shift. I got to know them in short order because I was a bit dopey from pain meds post surgery, which made me blather on and on. Both are caring professionals and really care about their patients. They were very attentive to all my needs and did a great job staying on top of my pain management. The day crew, Angela and Kyle, my RNs and Casey their assistant were great also and expedited my departure after my surgeon sign off on my release. I want to thank all the hard working staff at Lakeview Hospital, they did a fine job and showed great skill and attention to my medical and emotional needs while I was there. PS, the food from the kitchen was first rate! despite jokes people make about hospital food. Great job Chef.

I gave birth to a healthy baby girl here. The staff was absolutely amazing and respectful of my wishes throughout the entire stay. I wanted a natural childbirth, and the midwife and nurses did everything to have my experience be the best. I felt very safe and confident if an emergency were to occur.

We had an outpt CT and they were fast and professional and kind but the price difference was crazy. After I called billing they did give us a small discount. But the price discrepancies are outrageous. We should have price checked first, I would encourage you to price check. This is what our insurance states for prices: Brandon Park SLC $647 Jordan Kimball SLC $652 Patrick Luers SLC $805 LDS Hosptital SLC $1334 Primary Children SLC $1757 University Hospital $2441 Lakeview Hospital $3222 Salt Lake Regional $3727 Notice on this list only one is higher. Good Luck!

We have delivered both of our daughters at Lakeview. The staff is amazing and the facility is always really clean. I refer everyone I know here. We are so lucky to have it right up the street!

I want to express how grateful I am to Jennifer Udy for making my life a little easier today. I was on crutches, out of breath and having a difficult time finding the wound care facility. She works at the E.R registration desk but since it was almost her lunchtime, she didn’t hesitate to get in my car with me and show me which building it was in. I’ve had quite a bit of stress lately due to a wound that is very infected and just won’t heal. The world could definitely use more kind hearted people like her! Thank you Jennifer for alleviating some of that stress today. You are a true Angel. Good luck in Colorado!💕

Last Wednesday I was rushed to the ER by my roommate due to gallbladder pain. The waiting room wasn't bad and the host at the desk was nice. We were then put back into one of the ER rooms pretty promptly. My ER nurse, Natalie was amazing and beyond helpful and the ER doctor on duty that night was informative and understanding. I ended up having to stay overnight for surgery the next day. My nurse Clare was willing to help and on top of things throughout my hospital stay. My morning nurse Jess had a bit different personality, but she was straight forward and assisted when I needed it. Dr. Oberg, my surgeon, made sure I understood what was going to happen more than once, answered all my questions, and stayed optimistic and upbeat. Surgical team made me feel at ease and well taken care of. Overall, I felt comfortable and well taken care of by the staff especially on such short notice.

I had planned a home birth with a midwife for the birth of my first baby, and unfortunately my body did not follow the plan...after being in labor for 24 hours my dilation was not progressing. Our original birth plan was to transfer to the U of U hospital if needed, but I was not up for a 30 minute car drive. We went to Lakeview instead for proximity sake, which I am embarrassed to say I had not heard great reviews about. The doctors, nurses, and staff sure proved me wrong on that account! I was so impressed from the moment we pulled up to the ER to the minute we left three days later. Everyone was so professional, and yet also down-to-earth making me feel so comfortable for our stay. They did not look down on me or give me a hard time for trying a home birth, which some medical professionals might have done. Instead, they did all they could to help me continue my original birth plan, yet were honest and reasonable regarding when to take things to the next step. Although my birth did end up as a cesarean section, I knew that Dr. Porter and his team had done all they could to help me birth naturally, and they made the best recommendations for the health of both me and my son. Gabriel needed to stay for a few days in the NICU, and meanwhile I needed to stay a few days also to recover from the surgery. All of the nurses that took care of me and Gabriel where so kind and compassionate. I was extremely impressed with the follow up of the doctors (Dr. Porter, OB, Dr. Tew, Pediatrician, Dr. Jenkins, NICU) and even my anesthesiologist (Jeff) throughout the weekend. Even the food staff was great - the food was excellent while I was there, I loved the snack room in the women's unit and the "Stork Dinner" for me and my husband. I kept forgetting to order my meals, so they started just sending food up to me, and always sent delicious meals! I truly felt like the hospital did everything they could to help me feel at home while I was there. I would definitely do my next delivery at Lakeview and would highly recommend it to others as well.

I was just here for a same day surgery and the staff, particularly the nurses that cared for me were EXTREMELY kind and helpful and thoughtful. I have been in many hospitals and have never been treated so kindly. I feel like scheduling another surgery just so I can go back and see them again. ha-ha. I have only paid for the hospital at this point and not the doctor and anesthesiologist and that most likely will wipe any smile of my face, but the hospital staff was A number 1 in my book.

While the doctor I have seen myself and taken my daughter to was very nice. Their billing department is ridiculous. I took my daughter in for a bloody nose and got a bill for surgery? She's never had surgery in her life. Then they billed under the wrong numbers even though I called numerous times. Just recieved the same bill and was called by a collections company! They made sure to use all my PIP after my car accident when they did nothing other than xrays and medicine for my head, no evaluation for concussion or whiplash. Time to get Gephardt.

I live in woods cross so this is the closest hospital to me. I have been to this hospital for almost everything I have needed when no comes to healthcare. There staff is amazing and knowledgeable, they treat you well and take care of your issues quickly when they are not busy. I understand when a hospital is busy it may take time to get to the lesser problems. Thank you for all the years of great service and I hope to continue to come here in the future. By the way o really like the remodel.

Clean facility, great staff that was always there and did more than I expected, and the building is remodeled. I was very upset though because 17 hours before my surgery they called and said I needed to pay $1200. I understand what they're trying to do and I respect it. But how about call as soon as the insurance approves it? I had the surgery scheduled a month early to make sure everything was ready, then they call me a day before and demand $1200. I don't find that fair. It ruined my experience with this hospital. I couldn't pay that much because I do have other bills and a mortgage to pay. I'm 19. Don't demand 1200 out of a person less than 24 hours away from the time they're getting a back surgery that was needed ever since November. UPDATE After posting this review I very quickly received a sincere apology from the patient access director Pat, she explained what was wrong and how sorry she was to hear about the situation. I fully understand and know this was just a rare occasion hopefully.

I will forever be grateful for the experience my family had at Lakeview Hospital. My dad was taken to the ER and the attention and care that was given saved his life! They intently listened to our questions and were genuinely concerned about my father. The entire staff (not just the doctors and nurses) were very professional. My family was also contacted by the doctor and a nurse several days after my father had left, just to check in on him! Lakeview is a WONDERFUL hospital filled with WONDERFUL employees!

My dad was brought here 7 weeks ago with some serious pain in his head. Turns out he had a ruptured brain aneurysm. The staff at the ER were incredible and got him the care he needed. Thankful everyday for all they did. The nurse even offered to give my dad a blessing before he had to be transferred via life flight.

Delivered my second baby at this hospital and was so very impressed and happy with my experience there. Staff was very competent (nurses delivered my baby because I got to the hospital too late and my dr wasn't able to make it) they were all beyond excellent and attentive without being obnoxious. Questions, calls, and needs were met quickly. Food was excellent (I have food allergies and they were very accommodating). Loved the smaller hospital atmosphere, it was quiet, laid back, but never lazy or incompetent. The special candle lit dinner for mom and dad was also super cute and delicious! All in all I loved it!

I have so much appreciation for the care I was given at Lakeview Hospital after my hip revision surgery January 16, 2017. Because I have had other surgeries at other places I can specifically say that Lakeview is organized and efficient through the surgical process. Staying overnight one night, I felt totally cared for, watched over, helped out and pain free. I was accompanied to physical therapy...a wonderful experience to be with 8 or so other hip replacement patients experiencing the same next day excellent care and discussed the experience during exercise. My needs were met before I knew I needed something...obviously the coordination and the efficiency provides that almost just in time type of care. I appreciate the care, I feel it gave me a huge step up in recovery once I got home. I would highly recommend Lakeview to anyone considering joint replacement surgery.

I love the place. Took my brother in and front desk girl was patient and caring. I asked if they had a phone charger and she let me use her own! The other girl got water for me. Everyone I delta with was kind and caring and listened to me. My Mom and my self have been here as well and never been treated better!
